About Lucas J. Draeger

Somebody once told me that there are stories all around us, swirling about in the air. A writer can not only “see” the stories, but he can translate the story from vision to words.
I can see stories. They warm my heart, they frighten me, they delight and depress me, and at times they drive me mad. When I am able, I turn the stories into something that others can see.
Here you will find creatively expressed visions of my world, visions of others’ worlds, and occasional visions of worlds that may or may not truly exist.
I write because it makes me human.

  1. I LOVE stories! I have been writing short stories lately. Writing has always been my best friend, it is always there when no one else is. When I am frantic with emotion, I snatch up a pen and pad of paper, and just write. I look forward to reading your posts :-).

  2. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. It’s one beautiful blog and deserves an award. There’s one waiting for you at Nine Writes.

“I write because it is the only way I know to make my eyes function and my fingers feel.” …Yes, your “About” page is a shared brainwave with mine. We write because we breathe. It is the heart of life, expressed and magnified, pinned down in time, paused and displayed in spaceand time. It brings sense to chaos, clarity to disharmony, focus to vision. I’m glad our paths have crossed. Be blessed my friend.

  5. some great flow and poetry in your words. excellent to meet you here and wishing you mad luck with the quest to narrow the gap, even if it is insurmountable, between dark and light, and in all your writing going forward.

  9. Things are wrong, things are gloomy, things are sad, and then, things are ultimate bullshit. You just need that little spark of determination, which you have, I can see that in your work, and you’re all set.
Way to go bowling, Lucas. πŸ™‚

      • Okay…really? How do you know I am from where you think I am?
I mean is it a wild guess or do you know for sure?
Because either way, it is correct.

  10. Thank you for the follow and for reading my posts. Yours are just sending me places I don’t think I’ve ever been. You are amazing. I’m so honoured you’re now in my heart and soul.

  11. I enjoy your writing and your site. I was touched about your finding the dead woman in the parking lot of Starbucks, but I really wish to know more about her reality–who she was, what she did, how old she was and how she died. Perhaps you could do an update and provide this?
