How heavy the toll
false life exacts
a fee commissioned
for every earthbound
judgement
we treat as luxuries
the anger, disappointment,
fear
shame
wrought by the empowered
by us, to us
How priceless the strength
Life fueled
hope maintained
Love enduring
in silence
rebuking such hate
in silence
drawn to space
in silence
luring to desert
in silence
where there’s only you.

I love this…well written. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much
Tell me am I right in this interpretation: We give too much power to materialistic thinking.. and people? hhm… I enjoyed reading, very thought provoking.
Yes! In the case of this writing, emphasis on people.
We are so occupied with the “noise” our culture produces.
Here is another in that spirit –

Yes – in silence is where ‘you’ truly finds ‘you’ ~~ I think about this a lot ๐
You are a wise lady indeed, Ms. Lee. Blessings on you.
warm thanks ~
