“Blessed are the poor in wallet,
for if they work really hard, they will get a piece of the pie.
Blessed are those who mourn their lack of the newest smart phone,
for they will receive the most awesome model for affordable,
monthly payments, and their friends will be impressed.
Blessed are the m̶e̶e̶k̶ rude and obnoxious,
for they will run for President.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for junk food,
for they will be fed as much as they want, and more!
Blessed are the spiteful,
for they will unleash verbal venom on Facebook.
Blessed are the lustful, the gluttonous, the consumers,
for they will consume and consume and never reach their fill,
and for this they will be called “good Americans”.
Blessed are the vengeful,
for they will preach stories of vengeance, feel justified in their
vengeance, glory in vengeance!
Blessed are those who think they are persecuted for their beliefs,
for they will remain blissfully unconscious of the truly poor and
stricken in the world.”

I wasn’t sure before, but now I am. You write the lyrics for System of a Down! Is that you playing bass, painted in black make up, sporting a jewfro and jewlocks?
I’m embarrassed to say I had to google the name of this band.
I’m quite not with it. 😦
Yah, I love their dirty sound, dissonant harmonies, and syncopated rhythms. A roller coaster of dynamics, and all seems to melt together well like a burnt marshmallow and reeces peanut butter cup. Tastes amazing, but I can only have 2 or 3 before I’m sick. They’re a Jewish looking band with songs loaded with an anti America message.
Oh well…at least I didn’t come across as anti-Jesus.
Powerfully written.
Thanks, kind lady.
Wow – I really like this.. Such truth in your words
Thank you kindly dear.
